NIOS (National institute of open schooling) is the largest opening schooling in the world. It allows its student freedom do learn. what to learn, when to learn, how to learn and when to appear for the examination are decided by the Learner. There is no restriction of time, place and pace of learning.
The Students who are enrolled in NIOS secondary and senior secondary course and want to appear in upcoming examination, need to submit Tutor mark Asignment (T.M.A) to their respective A.I center.
Internal Assessment (I.A) including Tutor Marked Assessment (TMA) in secondary (Class -10) and senior Secondary (Class-12) carries carries 20% weightage in External examination and the marks is shown separately and added to marks obtained in External examination and Practical examination.
However , submission of TMA ( Tutor Mark Assignment) is not compulsory for declaration of result.
Where to submit Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA)?
Answer: The Students have to submit TMA to the subject teacher at his/her Study Centre (AI) at on before given date.
My Study centre is not working or closed, Where should I Submit My Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA)?
Answer: In case, the Study Centre is not functioning or closed due to administrative reasons, the student may submit the TMA as per the schedule given above, at the Regional Centre of his/her area.
From Where I will get NIOS Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) Booklet?
Answer: The students will get TMA booklet with their study materials. In case they did not receive TMA, they can download the TMA from www.nios.ac.in.
What is the format of NIOS Tutor Marked Assignment or TMA?
Answer: TMA is for 20 marks. Questions 1, 2 and 3, comprise of short answer questions. Each question has two choices of which you have to attempt only one i.e. 2+2+2= 6 marks. Questions 1, 2 and 3 will thus cover 6 marks. Question number 4 and 5 are long answer questions of 4 marks each. You have to answer only one question out of the two given. Thus, questions 4 and 5 are for 8 marks (4+4=8). Question no. 6 gives you two projects of which you have to attempt only one. This question will be for 6 marks. The guidelines for each project work are given along with the topic set.
